The
Castle, with the passing of time, has undergone many alterations and
repairs. A
particular alteration was executed by the Borbons. In fact, they changed the
Castle into a prison and it was used in this function until in 1966-67. Then,
the Castle, was modified in the internal structure: rooms were divided into many
little cells of the size of 1,80m x 2,10m (in one of this cells, 200 oil lamps
have been found);on the walls, graffiti have been found, probably made by the
prisoners, with the indication of the names and the number of days to be
released.
