ALCAMO, CAPRERA'S LARGE ENDED ESTATE

In the first years of the XV^th century, the castle took its actual name because it was inherited by the Modica’s Count, Giovanni Bernardo Caprera, who received it as a dowry.  

He sold it in 1457 with the right of redemption, to Giovanni Matteo and Pietro Speciale, for 4400 “onze” together with the Bonifato mount’s castle and the port of Canalotti and Calatafimi.
