MONTREAL (AP) — Mitch Marner had a goal and three assists and the Toronto
Maple Leafs beat the Montreal Canadiens 5-3 on Wednesday night to improve to
5-1-0 in exhibition play.

Murray Jersey , Auston Matthews, Kasperi Kapanen and Patrick
Marleau also scored, and Frederik Andersen made 33 saves.
Tomas Tatar, Brendan Gallagher and David Schlemko scored for Montreal, and
Carey Price stopped 20 shots.
Toronto scored short-handed goals 20 seconds apart early in the third period
to take a 4-2 lead. Marner got the first 16 seconds into the period after bad
communication between Price and Jeff Petry led to a loose puck in front of the
net and an easy tap-in. Kapanen connected on a 2-on-1 break with Par
Lindholm.
DUCKS 7, KINGS 4
At Anaheim, California, Adam Henrique and Max Comtois each had two goals and
an assist for Anahiem.
Jakob Silfverberg had a goal and two assists, Rickard Rakell and Andrej Sustr
also scored, and Ryan Miller made 18 saves.
Dion Phaneuf, Emerson Etem Michael
Hutchinson Jersey , Austin Wagner and Tanner Pearson scored for the
Kings. Jack Campbell allowed six goals on 19 shots in two periods, and Calvin
Peterson stopped 11 of 12 shots in the third.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Phil Kessel scored twice in a 2:21 span late in the first
period and Matt Murray made 21 saves in Pittsburgh’s victory over Buffalo.
Matt Cullen, Derick Brassard and Kris Letang also scored.
Alex Nylander scored for Buffalo. Linus Ullmark allowed all five goals.
ISLANDERS 4, RANGERS 3, OT
At New York, Anthony Beauvillier scored 53 seconds into overtime for the
Islanders.
Ryan Pulock scored twice, and Thomas Hickey tied it early in the third. Robin
Lehner stopped 21 shots for the Islanders.
Mika Zibanejad scored twice for the Rangers, and Pavel Buchnevich added a
goal. Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves.

At Boston Oren Burks
Jersey , Filip Zadina scored 24 seconds into overtime to lift
Detroit past Boston.
Zadina was the sixth overall pick in the June draft. Gustav Nyquist and
Dennis Cholowski also scored for Detroit, and Jonathan Bernier stopped 21 shots.
David Pastrnak and Lee Stempniak scored for Boston, and Jaroslav Halak made 33
saves.
STARS 3, AVALANCHE 1
At Denver, Ben Bishop made 21 saves and Julius Honka had a goal and an assist
for Dallas.
Tyler Pitlick and Roope Hintz also scored.
Ty Lewis scored for Colorado, and Semyon Varlamov stopped 24 shots.

At St. Paul, Minnesota, Jared Spurgeon broke a tie in the third period for
Minnesota.
Eric Staal, Greg Pateryn and Jason Zucker also scored, and Devan Dubnyk made

for Winnipeg, and Laurent Brossoit stopped 24 shots.The Chicago Bears are
set to sign Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson and Philadelphia Eagles
tight end Trey Burton, giving quarterback Mitchell Trubisky some playmaking
targets.
Robinson told ESPN he plans to sign a three-year, $42 million contract, while
two people familiar with the situation told The Associated Press Tuesday that
Burton is leaving the Philadelphia Eagles after agreeing to a $32 million,
four-year deal.
Chicago also agreed to a deal with Atlanta Falcons receiver Taylor Gabriel,
and Miami Dolphins kicker Cody Parkey also plans to sign with the Bears, people
familiar with their situations said.
The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deals won’t be
announced until the league year begins Wednesday.
The Bears also extended one-year tenders to receivers Cameron Meredith and
Joshua Bellamy along with cornerback Bryce Callahan, giving them the right to
match any offers they receive in free agency.
A 2015 Pro Bowl selection, Robinson was impressed by new Bears coach Matt
Nagy and told ESPN, ”I like what he did” as offensive coordinator with the
Kansas City Chiefs. Robinson also tweeted ”What’s good Chicago!!!?” with a
picture of himself in a Bulls game jersey on Tuesday.
The Bears were looking to upgrade their struggling receiving corps and give
Trubisky more dependable targets.
The versatile Burton gets a chance to be the No. 1 tight end on the Bears
after catching 23 passes for 248 yards and five TDs in Philadelphia’s
championship season. He also threw a touchdown pass to quarterback Nick Foles in
the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory over New England.
Robinson had a strong training camp last year and looked like he would be an
integral part of the offense. But he tore the ACL in his left knee on
Jacksonville’s third play of the season and had surgery the following week. The
Jaguars went on to win the AFC South and advance to the conference title
game.
Robinson has missed 21 games in four seasons Youth
Cam Newton Jersey , though Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said at the
NFL scouting combine he is ”right on schedule”
